Job summary
The Stock Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end inventory and warehouse function for the company's distribution business from stock planning and procurement coordination to warehouse operations, inventory accuracy, and team leadership. The role ensures optimal stock availability while minimizing holding costs, losses.

Job descriptions & requirements
Inventory Strategy & Planning
- Develop
and implement inventory management policies, procedures, and controls
- Forecast
stock requirements based on sales trends, seasonality, and demand planning
input
- Set
and monitor reorder levels, safety stock, and lead times by SKU/category
- Identify
and action slow-moving, excess, and obsolete stock (discounting,
write-offs, redistribution)
Warehouse & Operations Management
- Oversee
all warehouse operations — receiving, storage, picking, packing, and
dispatch
- Ensure
efficient warehouse layout and space utilization
- Implement
and enforce FIFO/FEFO and proper handling procedures (especially for
imported electronics)
- Manage
relationships with logistics/freight providers for inbound shipments and
landed cost efficiency
Stock Accuracy & Reconciliation
- Oversee
physical stock counts, cycle counts, and full annual stocktakes
- Investigate
significant variances, shrinkage, and damages; implement corrective
actions
- Ensure
inventory system (ERP) data integrity and work with IT/finance to resolve
system issues
- Own
inventory valuation accuracy and support landed cost and gross margin
reporting with Finance
