The National Assembly of Zambia invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the following positions:

DEPUTY DIRECTOR (PROCUREMENT) – MOTEL (x1)

a. Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide advice to the Director-Procurement on the Management of the procurement function;

• Provide advice to the Director-Procurement and to the ensure compliance to the Public Procurement Act, 2020 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2022 when requested;

• Provide advice to the Director-Procurement on the preparation of the consolidated Annual Procurement Plan for the Institution;

• Assist in the management and coordination of internal and external communication on procurement associated matters.

• Assist in the organisation of and provision of secretariat duties of the Institutional Procurement Committee;

• Assist in the planning of staff development and capacity building, identification of training gaps and motivation of procurement staff when needed;

• Assist in the promotion of good governance through ensuring best procurement practices;
