Assistant Head of Kitchen
Our client, a hospitality establishment based in Karen, Nairobi, is looking for an experienced and dependable Assistant Head of Kitchen to support the Head of Kitchen in managing daily kitchen operations.
The successful candidate will assist in supervising the kitchen team, coordinating food preparation, maintaining food quality and ensuring high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Head of Kitchen in managing daily kitchen operations.
- Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff during food preparation and service.
- Assist in planning and organising food preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation and portion control.
- Assist with monitoring kitchen stock and inventory.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food and ingredients.
- Monitor food wastage and support effective portion control.
