Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledger, and

subsidiary accounts.

• Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports,

budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.

• Perform daily bank, customer, supplier, and general ledger

reconciliations.

• Manage accounts receivable and payable, including invoicing,

collections, supplier payments, and account statements.

• Process payroll, vendor, casual, and statutory payments.

• Ensure compliance with VAT, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and other

applicable statutory obligations.

• Prepare and submit statutory returns and assist with tax

matters and audits.

• Manage inventory accounting, including stock valuations, cost

of sales, margin analysis, physical stock counts, and stock variance
investigations.

• Reconcile inventory records with the general ledger and monitor

stock gains and losses.

• Maintain the fixed asset register and asset movement schedules.

• Coordinate internal and external audits and provide required

financial documentation.

• Supervise, train, and support accounting staff, bookkeepers,

and clerks.

• Use accounting/ERP systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho,

and Microsoft Excel.
