Design Consultant – Eldoret

Role Purpose

• The design consultant will be responsible for generating leads, customer service, and meeting sales targets. They will need to have a deep understanding of the products, sales process and dynamics, and superb interpersonal skills. An ideal design consultant should portray energy, people’s centricity, integrity, and customer centricity.

Responsibilities

Sales & Business Growth

• Proactively generate leads, build a strong sales pipeline, and consistently achieve or exceed monthly sales targets.

• Engage clients through timely communication on promotions, new arrivals, and restocked items of interest.

• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell by deeply understanding customer needs and market trends.

Client Engagement & Advisory

• Welcome and engage showroom guests with professionalism and energy, providing expert advice on product features and tailored solutions.

• Conduct product presentations and demonstrations, including assembling furniture when required, to showcase value to clients.

• Collaborate with visual merchandisers to prepare layouts, mood boards, and customized solutions for clients.

• Carry out client site visits and measurements to ensure accuracy in proposed solutions.

Quotations, Negotiations & Order Management

• Prepare accurate, client-specific quotations and negotiate effectively to close deals.

• Confirm stock availability and manage client expectations on delivery timelines.

• Handle invoicing and payments with integrity while ensuring compliance with company financial policies.

Delivery & After-Sales Service

• Coordinate with warehouse, logistics, and front desk teams to guarantee timely and accurate deliveries.

• Serve as the client’s primary contact throughout the sales journey, addressing concerns swiftly and effectively.

• Provide proactive after-sales follow-up to capture feedback, resolve issues, and maintain lasting client relationships.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with both new and repeat customers.

• Ensure proper client database management by updating relevant information for future engagement and tracking.

• Deliver exceptional customer experiences that reflect the company’s customer-first values.

Showroom & Operational Excellence

• Support visual merchandising efforts by contributing creative ideas for impactful showroom displays.

• Collaborate with the branch manager on operational improvements and policy refinements that enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

• Uphold company policies on payment terms, sales procedures, and compliance frameworks.

Warehouse Support Crew – Nairobi

Role Purpose

• The Support Crew is responsible for assembling furniture, supporting store operations and ensuring products are delivered and displayed in excellent condition. The role plays a key part in maintaining efficiency in the warehouse and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

Furniture Assembly & Quality Control

• Assemble furniture accurately and efficiently in line with manufacturer guidelines, ensuring correct use of tools, proper fitting of components, and structural stability.

• Inspect all items for defects, damages, or missing parts before and after assembly or delivery, promptly reporting and escalating any issues identified.

• Verify that all completed products meet defined quality standards and are clean, functional, and presentation-ready prior to display or customer handover.

Warehouse & Inventory Support

• Assist in receiving, offloading, sorting, and organizing incoming stock, ensuring items are handled safely and stored in designated locations.

• Support periodic stock counts and reconciliations to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize discrepancies.

• Ensure proper labeling, categorization, and arrangement of stock to facilitate efficient identification, tracking, and retrieval.

Delivery & Loading Assistance

• Support the safe and efficient loading and offloading of furniture for deliveries, ensuring proper stacking, securing, and handling techniques are followed.

• Handle all products with care to prevent damages during movement, transportation, and delivery processes.

• Accompany delivery teams when required, assisting with offsite assembly, placement, and basic customer setup while maintaining professionalism.

Store Support & Merchandising

• Assist in setting up and arranging showroom displays in accordance with store layout plans, visual merchandising standards, and product guidelines.

• Regularly rearrange furniture and maintain showroom cleanliness, order, and visual appeal to enhance the customer experience.

• Support execution of promotional displays, seasonal changes, and in-store campaigns, ensuring timely and accurate implementation.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Adhere strictly to workplace health and safety standards, including proper lifting techniques, use of protective equipment, and safe handling procedures.

• Operate tools and equipment responsibly, ensuring they are used correctly, well-maintained, and stored safely after use.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in both warehouse and showroom areas at all times.
