Job Purpose
To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, management accounting, reconciliations, financial controls, budgeting, analysis and regulatory compliance, while supporting management decision-making across assigned business operations.
Must HaveProven experience in money remittance, foreign exchange, banking, fintech, microfinance, cash transfer, or similar financial services operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports and management packs.
- Analyse financial performance against budgets and prior periods and provide recommendations.
- Review bank, cash, mobile money, branch, partner, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding, unusual or unexplained reconciling items.
- Monitor cash positions, cash movements and liquidity requirements.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and profitability reviews.
- Coordinate regulatory, statutory and audit reporting requirements.
- Review and strengthen financial and operational internal controls.
- Supervise, coach and support Finance Officers and Accountants.
- Drive improvements in financial reporting, reconciliation and finance processes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years' progressive accounting and finance experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Must Have: Proven experience in money remittance, foreign exchange, banking, fintech, microfinance, cash transfer, or similar financial services operations.
