Business Development (BD) Officer

The Business Development (BD) Officer will identify, develop, and convert business opportunities, manage strategic partner relationships, and support commercial initiatives across The Karen Hospital and its branch network. The role will contribute to revenue growth, service uptake, patient and partner engagement, and the Hospital’s strategic positioning within Kenya and the wider East African healthcare market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and convert business opportunities with insurers, corporates, healthcare facilities and other strategic partners

• Build and manage partner relationships, coordinate follow-ups and support partnership agreements, MOUs and SLAs.

• Support branch business development by identifying local opportunities and strengthening referral networks and service uptake.

• Identify, plan and participate in community engagements, medical camps, health talks, clinics, exhibitions and outreach activities.

• Collaborate with BD, PR & Communications and Client Experience teams to align partner engagement, service promotion and patient experience.

• Conduct market and competitor research to identify healthcare trends, service demand and opportunities in Kenya and East Africa.

• Apply an understanding of healthcare costing, pricing and profitability when supporting proposals and commercial decisions Prepare business proposals, partnership presentations and reports, track opportunities, targets and outcomes using measurable indicators.
