Business Development Officer (IELTS)

Role purpose

• The Business Development Officer (IELTS) plays a pivotal role within IDP Education (Kenya) Ltd., acting as the bridge between IELTS testing services and prospective clients, including educational institutions, corporate partners, and individual students. This key position involves developing and implementing strategic initiatives to drive growth, enhance brand presence, and expand market reach.

• This role demands a proactive, insightful professional who can nurture relationships, identify emerging market trends, and deliver tailored solutions aligned with clients’ needs. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote IELTS and related services, contributing to the overall success of the business development objectives in a competitive and evolving educational landscape.

Key accountabilities

• Develop and execute targeted business development strategies to increase IELTS test registrations within the Nairobi region and beyond.

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with educational institutions, study abroad consultants, corporate clients, and community organisations to foster continuous engagement and loyalty.

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking events, and direct outreach, ensuring alignment with IDP’s strategic goals.

• Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to design and implement promotional campaigns and events that effectively communicate the benefits and value of IELTS testing services.
