Purpose of the Job

To provide ICT support services

Key Roles and Responsibilities

• Supporting the development of directorate system functional specifications

• Installing and configuring computer programmes and software and other regulatory standards

• Maintaining and repairing ICT equipment

• Monitoring and implementing effective utilization of ICT resources, equipment and accessories

• Assisting in the identification and resolution of ICT troubleshooting activities

• Providing user support services to staff

• Supporting the provision and management of systems administration

• Developing, arranging and maintaining ICT inventory

• Preparing and submitting reports

BASIC SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

• Good knowledge of computer hardware, software installation, configuration and maintenance.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware and software faults.

• Basic knowledge of computer networking, including LANs, routers, switches and network connectivity.

• Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot operating systems, applications and peripheral devices.

• Good understanding of ICT systems administration and user account management.

• Basic knowledge of ICT security, data protection, antivirus and access-control practices.
