Tax Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Preparation and filing of tax returns on time and accurately, the returns are VAT, Withholding tax, Reverse VAT, and other statutory returns as per the Kenya Revenue Authority.

Identify weaknesses in current processes and to identify solutions to ensure that tax processes are in place and to deliver the correct output.

To ensure accurate tax computations by verifying the rates applied, payment requests and Memos.

Value added tax refund audit certification and follow up for cash refunds or set of against other tax liabilities.

Ensuring timely remittance of taxes relating to products import / purchase and reconciliation of tax payment to avoid over/under payment.

Ensure the taxes paid in advance are fully accounted for and reconciled.
