Procurement Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to coordinate international purchases, shipping documentation, regulatory requirements and customs clearance while ensuring timely delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate import orders, proforma invoices, purchase orders, shipment schedules and supplier follow-ups.

• Review commercial invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading, Air Waybills, Certificates of Origin and other shipping documents for accuracy.

• Manage Import Declaration Forms, import permits and other regulatory documentation required before shipment and customs clearance.

• Handle Duty Remission Scheme documentation, approvals, utilisation, reconciliations and closure records.

• Coordinate clearing agents, freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, suppliers and internal departments.

• Monitor customs entries, duties, taxes, exemptions, bonds and outstanding Kenya Revenue Authority matters.

• Track shipments and provide timely updates on expected departure dates, expected arrival dates, clearance status, delays and delivery dates.
