CV examples you can actually copy from
Most CV samples online are American, describe jobs that do not exist here, and quote salaries in dollars. These are written for the roles actually advertised across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda, using the language regional employers and NGOs use in their own adverts.
Take the shape, not the words. Copying a sample verbatim is obvious to anyone who has read a hundred applications.
Accounting and finance

Common questions
Can I copy one of these CV samples directly?
Copy the structure and the way achievements are phrased, but never the content. Recruiters in this region read a great many applications and recognise borrowed wording immediately.
What if my results are not as impressive as these?
They rarely need to be. An honest, specific, modest number is far more persuasive than a vague claim of excellence — and it survives the interview, which an invented figure will not.
Do I need a different CV for an NGO than for a private company?
The document is the same, but the emphasis changes. NGO recruiters look for donor names, reporting, safeguarding and field experience; private employers look for revenue, cost and efficiency. Reorder your bullets accordingly.
