CALL FOR APPLICATIONSRECRUITMENT OF ENUMERATORS DIGITAL EDUCATION TRACER SURVEY
The Research Team implementing the research project “From Emergency Online Learning to Resilient Digital Education Ecosystems: Evaluating Blended Learning and Learner Analytics in Rwandan Higher Learning Institutions” invites applications from qualified, committed, and motivated individuals to serve as Enumerators for the data collection exercise.
- About the Study
The study aims to produce rigorous and policy-relevant evidence on the quality, equity, and effectiveness of blended learning and learner analytics at the University of Rwanda. It will also contribute to the co-production of a validated Digital Resilience Framework and Policy Toolkit to support Rwandan and East African public universities in transitioning from emergency online learning to resilient, inclusive, and sustainable digital education systems.
The tracer survey will generate evidence on students’ and/or graduates’ experiences with online and blended learning, including access to digital learning resources, quality and effectiveness of digital learning, participation and engagement, digital competencies, learner support, barriers and inequalities in accessing digital education, and experiences with digital learning platforms and learner analytics.
The information collected will contribute to understanding what works, for whom, and under what conditions in blended and digitally supported learning and will inform recommendations for strengthening digital education resilience in higher learning institutions.
Key Responsibilities
Selected enumerators will:
- Administer the approved digital education tracer survey to selected respondents using KoboCollect;
- Explain the purpose of the study and obtain informed consent before each interview;
- Accurately and completely record respondents’ responses;
- Follow questionnaire instructions, skip patterns, and fieldwork protocols;
- Ensure that respondents understand questions without influencing their responses;
- Maintain strict confidentiality and protect all respondent information;
- Conduct follow-up with selected respondents where required;
- Identify and report fieldwork challenges, respondent concerns, and data-quality issues to the field supervisor;
- Participate in field testing and provide feedback on the questionnaire and data-collection process; and
- Comply fully with research ethics, data-protection requirements, and quality-control procedures.
- Required Experience and Skills
Applicants should:
- Have proven experience in quantitative data collection and field research;
- Have practical experience using KoboCollect/KoboToolbox for electronic data collection proven by signed certificate;
