Job Purpose
The role is responsible for providing on-the-ground commercial drive, relationship-building, and operational support for the company's business within the assigned country. As the market- entry pioneer, the incumbent will support the company's Over-the-Counter (OTC) trading operations to establish market presence, build liquidity relationships, develop early customer relationships, and lay the groundwork for future Payment Service Provider (PSP) operations.
As the business evolves into a licensed PSP, the incumbent will grow into a broader role covering payment operations support, strategic partnerships, regulatory liaison, merchant acquisition, and customer experience — with a clear path to greater seniority as the country business scales.
The role acts as the company's front-line representative with regulators, commercial banks, international banking partners, payment networks, merchants, fintech partners, government institutions, and other strategic stakeholders, helping build sustainable business growth and a strong local market foundation.
- Business Development & Market Entry
● Support the development and execution of the country's business strategy, beginning with OTC operations and progressively expanding into full PSP services.
● Identify new market opportunities that support business expansion and digital payment adoption.
● Drive business growth through initiative, resourcefulness, and continuous improvement as the company's ground-breaker in the market.
● Represent the company in meetings and early-stage discussions with regulators, banking institutions, strategic partners, and key industry stakeholders.
● Support the execution of market expansion initiatives aligned with the company's long-term vision.
KPIs
● OTC Transaction Volume: Total value and number of OTC transactions processed.
● OTC Revenue Growth: Revenue generated from OTC business activities.
● Institutional Client Growth: Number of new corporate and institutional customers acquired.
● Customer Retention: Percentage of existing OTC customers retained.
● Average Transaction Value: Growth in the average size of OTC transactions.
● Client Satisfaction: Feedback from OTC clients regarding service quality and responsiveness.
- Treasury, Liquidity & Financial Markets Support
The incumbent supports efforts to ensure the business maintains adequate liquidity for OTC trading, settlements, and payment operations, including monitoring cash positions, tracking liquidity requirements, and helping ensure funds are available to meet customer obligations. The role works closely with finance teams and banking partners to support cash utilization, funding cost management, and foreign exchange exposure monitoring.
KPIs
● Liquidity Availability: Ability to maintain sufficient liquidity for daily business operations.
● Settlement Funding: Timely availability of funds required for settlements.
● Cash Flow Forecast Accuracy: Accuracy of projected versus actual cash flows.
● Treasury Efficiency: Effective utilization of company funds while minimizing idle balances.
● Foreign Exchange Exposure: Effective management of currency risks and exchange rate fluctuations.
