Job Purpose

The Candidates must be in Katanga as the role is based in Lubumbashi.

To ensure that the Bank’s financial and regulatory reports are accurate, complete and prepared on a timely basis in accordance with applicable financial reporting standards, including IFRS and GCEC , regulatory guidelines, Bank policies and established procedures.

Principle Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely weekly, monthly and annual trial balances and financial reports.

• Prepare and monitor compliance with financial covenants applicable to DFIs and other financial institutions.

• Ensure the proper maintenance and integrity of financial records, books of accounts and supporting documentation.

• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to the Central Bank and other relevant authorities in accordance with applicable prudential requirements and reporting timelines.

• Support the maintenance of the General Ledger and the accurate posting and processing of financial transactions.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors and provide the required information and support to facilitate timely and effective audits and reviews.

• Work closely with other departments to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information and provide relevant financial analysis and insights to support business needs.

• Support the development and implementation of financial reporting policies, procedures and controls to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the reporting process.

• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements and the Bank’s financial policies and procedures.

• Perform any other duties and responsibilities within Finance and Administration as may be assigned by the Senior Officer – Financial Reporting from time to time.

Qualifications Required

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration , or a related field.

• Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, CFA , or progress towards obtaining such certification, will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting, accounting, regulatory reporting, financial analysis, or a related finance function.
