Critical Care Nurse
Overall Responsibility
- To provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients by delivering continuous assessment, advanced patient monitoring, life-support interventions, and evidence-based nursing care while ensuring patient safety and quality clinical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU/HDU.
- Monitor patients\’ vital signs and promptly respond to changes in clinical condition.
- Administer medications, intravenous therapies, and blood products safely and accurately.
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Assist in emergency procedures, resuscitation, and advanced life support interventions.
- Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
- Implement infection prevention and patient safety protocols.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Educate and support patients\’ families regarding treatment and ongoing care.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of critical care equipment and supplies.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and continuous professional development.
- Uphold professional, ethical, and regulatory nursing standards at all times.
Job Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Higher Diploma in Critical Care Nursing.
- Registered Nurse with a valid Nursing Council of Kenya practicing license.
- Valid BLS and ACLS certification;
- At least two years\’ experience in ICU, HDU, Emergency Department, or a similar critical care setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
Pharmaceutical Technologist-Kakamega
Overall Responsibility
- To support the pharmacist in the accurate and efficient dispensing of medications, ensuring patients receive the correct drugs at the right dose, while maintaining proper pharmaceutical records, stock controls, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription and over-the-counter medicines to patients.
- Provide correct dosage instructions and educate patients on the safe use of medicines.
- Counsel patients on possible side effects, drug interactions, and storage of medicines.
- Ensure rational drug use in line with treatment guidelines.
- Receive, verify, and record incoming pharmaceutical supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of essential medicines.
- Prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and drug expiries through proper inventory control.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movement and generate periodic reports.
- Ensure all pharmaceutical activities adhere to the Pharmacy and Poisons Board (PPB) regulations.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and confidentiality within the pharmacy.
- Participate in pharmacovigilance by reporting adverse drug reactions and poor-quality medicines.
- Assist in preparing orders and liaising with suppliers for the replenishment of medicines.
- Support audits, inspections, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to departmental reports, data collection, and performance reviews.
Job Qualifications & Skills
- A diploma in Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognized institution.
- Valid license from the Pharmacy and Poisons Board.
- At least 2 years’ experience in a clinical or supply chain setup (hospital, pharmacy, or warehouse).
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, stock management, and regulatory guidelines.
- Excellent communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
Hospital Administrator-Kakamega
Overall Responsibility
- The administrator will provide overall leadership and operational oversight of the facility, ensuring efficient service delivery, financial sustainability, regulatory compliance, quality and patient safety, positive patient experience, staff performance, and achievement of the facility’s strategic and operational targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and coordination of the day-to-day operations of the facility.
- Drive achievement of the facility’s operational, financial, quality, patient experience, and growth targets.
- Develop, implement, and monitor facility operational plans, budgets, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor revenue performance, expenditure, collections, cost control, and resource utilization, and take timely corrective action on identified variances.
- Identify and implement opportunities for revenue growth, service expansion, operational efficiency, and business development.
- Ensure adequate staffing, effective workforce deployment, staff discipline, performance management, and employee engagement in collaboration with the Human Resources function.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective collaboration and seamless delivery of services across all departments.
