Operations Coach - Tanzania
Role Description
- The Operations Coach (OC) is an individual contributor who is providing Technical-leadership on operations to a self-guided team, with higher level responsibility and liaison with cross-functional or Unit leads.
- The OC manages the operations of a given breeding testing network, and establish clear processes to ensure accurate, precise and timely data delivery on product performance in the different environments and management conditions.
- As a coach, provides skill building opportunities to help a self-guided team to build capabilities for value creation for customers and stakeholders. The OC is part of the AR&I team and reports to the Africa Lead.
Role Purpose
- Technical leadership: Strategic planning and prioritization of field-testing operations to align with Regional portfolio objectives and AR&I strategies.
- Coach: Enable the empowerment of the local AR&I team members to deliver more value, foster collaboration. Help the team to work in 90-day cycles. Ensure effective learning and transfer of best practices through guidance and training to unlock team’ full potential.
- Manage stakeholder engagements: Key contact for stakeholders (Product Design & Development teams, Customer Facing Units etc.) and co-operator farmers. Co-create with the stakeholders to ensure alignment.
- Resource management: Responsible for budget management, capital forecasting and project management.
- Provide guidance and financial control in project budget planning and utilization.
- Cross-regional collaboration: Establish strong regional and global collaborations for technology adoption and the improvement of AR&I outcomes in the Region.
Scope
- Primary: Management of Tanzania Field Testing Network operations
- Secondary: Collaborate and align on country specific missions and outcomes with the local Customer facing Units and Support functions.
