OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Provide technical support on handling and processing of drilling samples at the Geology Coreshed and other related exploration activities, including monitoring work quality and compliance to work standards. Plan routine and daily work schedules for subordinates to ensure activities are performed according to specific procedures and standards.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Perform core marking and geotechnical logging of drill cores prior to sampling for submission into the lab.

• Provide technical support in the field-to-field mapping or drilling crews when required.

• Validate and ensure all collected drillhole information is accurately documented and securely stored in the geological database and systems.

• Verify and ensure drilling samples received from the field are well documented and stored at the Coreshed area.

• Plan routine and daily work schedules for subordinates to ensure activities are performed according to specific work procedures and standards without compromising quality.

• Comply with safety standards by conducting toolbox meetings at places of work and ensuring work procedures are implemented.

• Organise and involve teams in identifying hazards at their places of work and ensure control measures are in place.
